After a long 5.5 month vineyard and cellar internship, Dave is finally back home.. well, sort of. Starting today, he began working for Argyle Winery as a full time cellar hand.
Reflecting back on our last three and a half years in Oregon, it’s amazing to think he’s finally reaching the home stretch of his degree. We came to Corvallis site unseen in 2014. He hadn’t even been accepted into OSU at the time and there was obviously a certain level of uncertainty or uneasiness about our future. Three and a half years later, and I’d say there’s just about the same level of uncertainty. Dave has two more classes to finish his degree this spring term. He is now commuting 75 miles to his new job. Too long of a commute, so he’s staying a couple nights at their intern house. Baby is due in 6 weeks. It’ll be interesting to see what the future will hold, but for now we take one day at a time.
